Seven years old, the age of golden dreams and festive get-togethers between young girls, my classmates and I, who hen pompously caked ourselves the star-girls. The end of the school year would bring us together to organize a yendu and a fashion show to celebrate the excellent results obtained over the past year, and this annual vacation event offered me the perfect opportunity to express my already all-consuming passion for fashion. As the years went by, my studies ledt me feeling dissatisfied, and in my final year of high-school I ended up sinking into depression, torn between my exclusive passion and my duty to study. I courageously pursued my studies, following the advice of my parents and friends. After obtaining my baccalauréat in the G series, specifically in Management/Administration, I enrolled for a BTS Assistant de Manager for two years, without giving up my only passion, fashion. During my second year of training, however, I realized the absurdity of my painful situation and my total lack of fulfillment. Five years after this salutary realization, I decided to take my life into my own hands, to listen to the voice of my heart, which was telling me which way to go, the only way, the way of fashion design. I discussed this with my mother to get her opinion on this crucial choice, and she revealed to me that my great-grandmother had made a name for herself in dressmaking, thus confirming my decision. I then began to think about the personal touch that would set me apart from the others in this saturated environment. So I had to learn to draw, because for me, styling is all about drawing. I took up this challenge with brio, practicing relentlessly to finally see my first attempt crowned with success. In September 2019, I set to work hard on this project to create my own brand, Corta Nascy, meaning resilience in the face of life's trials. I then set about finalizing the design of my first collection, which I entitled Héritage to pay a vibrant tribute to my family, whose motto is: rassa banana, rassa fidalgo or loyalty to values and courage through thick and thin.
