AFRIKWADO
Nigeria Afrikwado is a contemporary African fashion brand founded by Uzochikwado Pamela Ifejoku, multidisciplinary artist, pharmacist, and co-founder of Medmac Pharma.
Born with the sacred gift of Uli Art, the ancient Igbo art form of symbolic storytelling, Pamela is a natural-born artist chosen to revive and preserve this nearly lost tradition.
Through AfriKwado, she translates Uli’s graceful lines into living patterns, wearable stories that honor Africa’s spirit of resilience and beauty.
Her collections from “The Tribal Nexus” to the emerging “Woven Roots” reflect a deep connection to African craftsmanship, sustainability, and identity. Each design is created with intention, weaving together culture, consciousness, and creativity.
In a world where most “African prints” are ironically produced outside Africa, Pamela is changing that narrative. AfriKwado designs and produces locally in Nigeria, empowering artisans, supporting small scale production, and contributing to the nation’s growing creative economy. Every stitch and symbol helps build an ecosystem of pride and opportunity proving that fashion can fuel both cultural preservation and economic growth.
For Pamela, art is healing, a way to mend the fragments of forgotten heritage and inspire new generations to create from within. Afrikwado is not just a brand; it is a movement, a renaissance of African creativity, authenticity, and selfworth. us about yourself, your work and your inspiration
