Bodhi Creations describes its offering as ‘nomadic' and contemporary jewellery. This is because it is inspired by all the wonders creative director Isabelle Pistone has had the privilege of discovering during her life’s wanderings around Europe, Asia and Africa. A love of craftsmanship has lead her to harness the ancestral know-how of craftsmen and women in various disciplines, embracing a range of materials including bronze, gold, semi-precious crystals, leather, cotton, silk, shells and hand made glass beads from various African and Asian countries. Speaking of her own brand she says, “ I believe that each artisan who contributed to the creation of one piece of my collections somehow captured a ray of light breaking through the shade of a Bodhi Tree.” A beautiful image which truly resonates as each piece sparkles with a global wanderlust. From exquisitely hammered brass cuffs to stacking rings and cowrie pendants there is a juxtaposition of hard and soft, delicate and sculptural that showcases the magical world that is Bodhi.
