bunyasi neckpiece (lemon grass)

An ode to Otsieno’s grandmother, this neckpiece was inspired by the lemon grass commonly used to prepare tea in her native Kenya. A circular brass choker is contrasted with delicately woven banana fibre strands. Colourful ceramic beads add a hint of colour.
