Fara draws inspiration from our cultural heritage and imaginations. After completing training in carpentry at the Lycée Technique André Peytavin in Saint Louis, he decided to transfer his skills to leatherwork. Born in 1962, Papa Demba Diop, known as Mba, launched Fara Baye Art in 1984. “Fara” is the title given to a master in leatherwork. His inspiration comes from our country’s history and diverse cultures. The hallmarks of Fara’s products are originality, durability, and reliability. As he approaches the twilight of his career, Mba is now thinking of passing the torch to his son, Ciré. Believing that passing down knowledge is a responsibility of the current generation, he has expanded his business to include two franchises.
