After a whirlwind debut at Lagos Fashion Week 2018, accessories brand KISARA has gone from strength to colourful strength. The Nigerian brand specialises in handcrafted leather pieces featuring cleverly interwoven nature-inspired elements like wicker to add a three-dimensional twist. Items are produced in the brand’s native Nigeria, creating revenue for local artisans and using locally sourced materials where possible. The brand strives to build an Africa of the future. Therefore there is no one customer in mind as the brand caters to all types of women and their lifestyles. Creative director Eli Ogunbor prefers to turn towards her customers’ love of colour and texture as her inspiration. Oversized jute beach totes, mini Hula woven bucket bags and more structured clutch bags all stand out in a collection that’s box fresh and brightly coloured.
