I am Seun, a Lagos-based womenswear designer and the founder of Lipstick by Seun. My work sits at the intersection of street culture, luxury, and African craftsmanship. Lipstick by Seun has evolved over time. Through years of designing, producing, and observing how women wear and respond to my work, I became clear on the gap we needed to fill. The brand challenges how street-inspired fashion is defined within the African fashion space. Street style is often reduced to just sweats, hoodies, and tees. I believe it can be expressive, playful, bold, and elevated without losing its ease. My designs are created to move between worlds and be styled in multiple ways. Ayaba Street(our latest collection), s is a result of that clarity. Ayaba Streets translates to the queen of the streets. It reflects women who carry confidence quietly and command attention through presence. This idea sits at the heart of the brand and informs how every piece is designed. The Ayaba Streets collection uses hand-dyed and handwoven African textiles, developed slowly with artisans in Nigeria. I focus on strong silhouettes, finishing, and pieces that allow freedom of styling, moving easily between everyday life and elevated moments. I design for the woman who wants to be photographed. Lipstick by Seun expresses culture through thoughtful design, quality materials, and a modern street-luxury perspective.
