My name is Laura, a native of Ikwerre from a family of six. I hold a B.Sc. in Microbiology. Growing up, I watched my mother design wedding dresses and beautiful outfits, which sparked my interest in fashion. There is something truly fascinating about envisioning a design and watching it come to life. At the age of 21, I had an encounter with a foreign tailor. I gave him items to sew, but he failed to deliver my preferred style. That disappointment became a turning point. It fueled my decision to fully pursue fashion and strengthened my resolve to become an excellent designer, one who would never leave clients dissatisfied the way I had been. At LW Couture, we work diligently to meet deadlines, especially when delivery depends on factors within our control. What began as a solo venture has grown into a brand supported by a small team and external collaborators. While my journey is still unfolding, I have gained invaluable experience within the industry. I may not have reached my ultimate goals yet, but I am deeply grateful for how far I have come and incredibly excited about the future of LW Couture.
