the weight of light

This work focuses on what happens when giving goes too far. Ignito, created to bring light to others, stands in darkness as his glow begins to fade. The more he reaches out, the weaker his own light becomes. The surrounding darkness represents isolation and the quiet that follows long periods of sacrifice. This piece is a reminder to teachers, leaders, and creatives who give their time and energy to others. Helping is important, but so is care for oneself. Light must be maintained to continue shining.
